How About Apple Picking Today?
In my endless search for fun and exciting events to do on your weekend I’ve come up with a few new ones that I’m pretty excited about.
First of all if you have never tried Apple and Pear Picking this is definitely a must this year! I’ve asked around to see if there are any extra special places out there that my friends like and I’ve had many of them say Blackman Homestead Farm. The farm is located on Thrall Road in Lockport and is open 7 days a week from 9am to 6pm. You’ll get a chance to enjoy picking pears, apples, and even grapes from their 100 year old orchards and vineyards. Along with their huge variety of fruit you can pick yourself they have fresh pressed cider, pumpkins, squash, grape juice, fruit butters, and that’s seriously just the beginning. I know that sounds like a lot of fun and it couldn’t get any better but wait there’s more! The farm even has barnyard animals and a straw climbing area the kids are going to love!
Out in East Aurora this year on Porterville road is this new hay maze called A-MAZE-ING Adventures! It’s the first annual solid wall hay maze. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun! If you’ve had enough of the corn mazes this is definitely a change from the same old. Along with that they have hay wagon rides, games for the children, and a bounce house. The hay maze is only $10 per person and even better they let kids ages 5 and under in for free. The Hay Maze is open weekends and then starting Oct 21st they will be having a haunted Maze!
