Another Reason Why All-Star Games Suck
The NHL All-Star Game
and NFL Pro Bowl were Sunday. The idea of the greatest players in their respective sports competing against each other shouldn’t be a joke. Any hopes that the games would have any real competitiveness, were quickly dashed by a four goal first period outburst for Team Staal in the NHL All-Star game and a 41-0 first half for the NFC in the Pro Bowl. It’s time these games be given some sort of meaning. If not let’s just dump them. To have 21 goals scored in a NHL match-up, and nearly 100 points in an NFL contest makes these games silly. Perhaps this play from Cleveland Center Alex Mack epitomized just how bad the all-star matchups have become.
