Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl delivered the keynote speech at SXSW 2013 earlier today (March 14), covering a wide range of topics during his hour-long chat, including Nirvana, his ‘Sound City’ documentary and his surprising love for the Psy YouTube hit ‘Gangnam Style.’

Yeah Yeah Yeahs offered up a mix of old and new material at their SXSW 2013 show last night (March 13.) The fabulous Karen O and her crew took over Stubb's BBQ at the NPR showcase, sprinkling in teasers from the forthcoming album 'Mosquito,' such as 'Sacrilege,' 'Subway' and the title track, among the classics.

In perhaps an attempt to teach the hipsters a thing or two about classic American songwriting, John Fogerty will perform at this year's SXSW. The concert will take place at the ACL Moody Theatre in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 16.

Next week, Boy + Kite make like every other rock band on the planet and play SXSW. Fortunately, the foursome hails from Austin, so while they'll watch their hometown become temporarily overrun with hipsters and industry types, they won't have to deal with airport security beforehand.

Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac has become the third member of Dave Grohl's Sound City Players to be announced as a performer or speaker at the SXSW Music Conference in Austin, Texas next month. A performance from the all-star band hasn't been officially announced, but it seems as likely as the sun rising.
