With the buzz around Marvel's 'The Avengers' reaching a fever pitch and the first reviews starting to hit ahead of the film's May 4th release (all positive, from what we've seen so far), now might be a good time to reflect back on some of the many casting rumors to reflect on a very different 'Avengers' movie.

The comic book blockbuster ‘The Avengers’ doesn’t drop until May of 2012, but Entertainment Weekly just whet the appetite of fans of the superhero team with a gallery of photos featuring Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

William Shatner has been a captain, a police officer, a lawyer, a roastee and roaster and now Ozzy! Yes, Bill is banging out another spoken word project and he has his phaser aimed on Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man'... Beam me up!

Apparently they do high school graduation a little differently in Taichung, Taiwan. Instead of just throwing on ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ and reading out a list of names, Ming-Dao High principal Albert T. Wang emerges onto a smoke-filled stage dressed in a full Iron Man costume and delivers a speech in not one, but two languages. His message: “Believe in yourself. You are also Iron Man.”
