It's one of nature's most spectacular sights. The Aurora Borealis will reportedly be visible in parts of many northern states during Saturday and Sunday evening, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The Aurora Borealis (The Northen Lights) is a sight that usually only occurs in Alaska and close to the poles, but it's rare in the Contiguous United States.

One of the states that should have a shot at seeing it will be New York! The other states include Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Vermont, and Maine, according to the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
