Would You Ever Want The Sabres Returning To The Black And Red Jerseys?

I know, I know; the royal blue and gold are unmatched and it seems most fans want that as the permanent colors for the Buffalo Sabres.

I've had conversations recently though with friends, about the Sabres returning one day to the black and red jerseys they wore from 1996-2006.

We know the Buffalo Sabres are returning to the original royal blue and gold colors by next season (2020-2021) but there's also going to be a 90's black and red night on January 4th this season that the Sabres are holding.

There's even sightings of the black and red merchandise at the Sabres store this season.

I grew up in the 90's and early 2000's. A large portion of my youth involved the Sabres wearing the black and red colors and for a whole generation of people, those jerseys still hold a special place in their hearts.

Perhaps bringing back the black and red sporadically, such as a third jersey, would be a good solution (so they can keep the royal blue and gold). There are regulations in regards to NHL jersey rules that the team has to work with, however.
