We're still about just over three weeks away from the kickoff to the Bills 2020 regular season, which will surely look vastly different than any other season, since no fans will be allowed to attend the games due to COVID-19 concerns.

But until then, WIVB (Channel 4) has decided to hold Bills fans over with a regular season classic.

WIVB will re-air the Bills week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings from 2002. The game was played at the old Metrodome in Minneapolis. It will air at 8 p.m. on Friday.

It was Drew Bledsoe's second-career game with the Bills and his first win. The Bills and Vikings combined for 84 total points and 917 total yards.

The Bills won the game in overtime.

I remember this game vividly. I was just a kid at the time but I recall getting home from Darien Lake that evening with my dad and watching the last hour of the game.

I still remember going crazy when Mike Hollis (then Bills kicker) tied the game to send it to overtime with a long field goal that bounced off the goal post.

Even though this was towards the beginning of the drought, this 2002 team brings back plenty of memories.
