With the warm weather will come high gusts of wind today leaving parts of Western New York under a Wind Advisory for much of the afternoon today.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a High Wind Advisory for parts of Western New York from 11 am until 8 pm today.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT
WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Niagara, Orleans, Jefferson, Northern Erie, and
  Genesee counties.

* TIMING...From late Wednesday morning through early Wednesday
  evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* IMPACTS...Winds may bring down a few tree limbs. Travel in
  high profile vehicles will also be difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong wind gusts of up to 57 mph will make driving difficult and
could result in minor property damage. Home owners should secure
personal property.

The advisory will be in effect for areas North of the City of Buffalo. If you plan on being outsdie please use caution.
