According to WIVB, around 9 pm on Saturday, West Seneca Police received a call that a man kicked down a door at a home on Slade Avenue and left the scene in a 2008 Chevy Silverado.

While the officers were finishing a report, the man, 33-year-old Ryan P. Mathison of Cheektowaga, took off in his vehicle.

Police tried to pull him over on Ridge Road near the Thruway entrance but Mathison continued on to the thruway, leading officers all the way down to the 190 north, where Mathison exited on Dingens Street.

Officers eventually boxed his car in at a Sunoco parking lot, then forcibly removed the man from the vehicle.

The charges were criminal mischief, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, and many other traffic violations.
