So if you haven’t heard Punxatawney Phil didn’t see his shadow today and you know what that means!   Spring will be arriving early this year!

Yeah it’s hard to believe after all the snow we got last night and how cold it’s been over the last week but still he didn’t see his shadow!  While you patiently wait for spring to turn up don’t just hibernate inside!  Get out of the house and celebrate winter this weekend!

Today at the Tifft Nature preserve check out their Groundhog Day Snowshoe Hike!  When I first read this earlier in the week I couldn’t imagine there would be enough snow on the ground for the snowshoeing to happen but clearly I was wrong.  Mother Nature came thru for us and now there is plenty of snow to have fun in!  This event sounds like a lot of fun!  Happening today from 10am to 11:30am at the Tifft Nature Preserve, you’ll get the chance to learn all about the Groundhog!  You’ll enjoy a walk around the preserve on snowshoes and then head back for a short presentation about the Groundhog Day traditions and Myths.  So head out of the house to Tifft Nature Preserve, strap on a pair of snowshoes and have some Groundhog fun!

Also happening today at the Clearfield Community Center in Williamsville they are having some Valentine’s Day fun!  It’s their Valentine Variety from 11am to 2pm.  Join them for some Valentine’s Day fun as they make a ton of crafts for the special someone!  The event is for any child age 12 and under and the best part about this event is that it’s free!

Finally another great event you should definitely check out today is happening at the Buffalo Zoo!  It’s another Zooper Saturday and this one is extra special because they have love in the air today!  Spend some quality time with the family and your love ones at the Buffalo Zoo’s Family Valentine’s Day event!  You’ll spend the day enjoying animal demonstrations (which by the way at the last one of these Zooper Saturdays I got to hang out with a 100 year old turtle and found out we have A LOT in common!), there will be activities for everyone to participate in, and then the best part of the whole day you’ll get the chance to make a Valentine’s Day card for a family member, a friend, or even better your favorite Zoo animal!  The event takes place today from 11am until 3pm and all activities are free with Zoo Admission!
