The football world was rocked on Saturday when news broke that Tom Brady was traded to another team.  That team?

The Buffalo Bills.

The collective heart-attack-heard-round-New-England began when the NFL blog Cover 32 wrote the headline.  Yahoo Sports even picked it up!

That was before everyone realized Saturday was April Fool's Day (and Yahoo removed their post, tail between legs).

Cover 32 reported a "shock press conference", with Bill head coach Sean McDermott announcing the acquisition of the infamous quarterback.

In a time when "fake news" is a very real thing, a risky faux press conference had McDermott saying,

We have officially acquired Tom Brady in a trade with the New England Patriots. While we know there have been recent rumors about his impending retirement, we here with the Bills organization do hope he reconsiders and joins us to help bring the Bills some Super Bowl glory.

Unfortunately (???) there isn't any truth to the trade, nor to Brady's retirement. Coming off 31 unanswered points in the last Super Bowl, Brady said he's not retiring any time soon.
