Yesterday, officials from Tops Friendly Market announced that the company has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company filed for Chapter 11 earlier this year. They closed 10 stores over the course of the Summer and were able to reduce their debt by nearly $450 million dollars.

Currently, the company has 159 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Tops Markets announced Monday that the Western New York-based supermarket chain has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which it filed for this past winter.
