It's a sad day for fans of The Office. It was announced that starting in 2021, the hit TV show would be leaving Netflix for NBC's yet-to-be launched new streaming service.

According to WIVB, all nine season of the show will be available to stream on NBC's ad-supported streaming service for five years, starting in January of 2021.

"'The Office' is one of our most prized series, and we are thrilled it has found an exciting new home where generation after generation will continue to discover and rediscover Michael Scott's most cringe-worthy moments, Jim and Pam's will-they-or-won't-they, and the incredible quirky ensemble that makes each episode a masterclass in comedy," said Universal Television president Pearlena Igbokwe, according to the release.

Netflix responded on Twitter to NBC taking back the show for its own streaming service in 2021.

The Office was streamed for over 52 billion minutes in 2018, making it the most watched show on Netflix in 2018. Second-place was Friends.

The good news is that we can watch The Office on Netflix for another 18 months!
