The Five Best Local Places For Christmas Shopping In WNY

I'm going to be honest, I haven't even started my holiday shopping yet....oops. That will change by next week and certainly, I'm going to try and stop at all five of these places for gifts.

1) The Marilla Country Store (Marilla)

Located on Two Rod Road in Marilla, the Marilla Country Store is like stepping back in time. The store is 158 years old and features some spectacular hand-crafted items and antiques you can't find anywhere else -- all themed right now for the holidays. They also have quite the assortment of candy and food items that will be great stocking stuffers.

2) Vidler's 5&10 (East Aurora)

Much like the Marilla Country Store, Vidler's is like riding a time machine. I love all the different toys and novelty items that you thought weren't made anymore. The store features crafts, dining ware, cooking ware, clothes and everything in between. You can find it on Main Street in East Aurora.

3) Woyshner's Christmas Shoppe (Lackawanna)

There's just something about stores that are everything Christmas. The Christmas Shoppe in Lackawanna is located on Ridge Road in Lackawanna (near South Buffalo) and is a Christmas lovers paradise! Whether it's ornaments, wreaths, trees, gift ideas or even Buffalo themed gift ideas, this store has it all.

4) Kissel Country Tin (Wheatfield/North Tonawanda)

I grew up in North Amherst, so this place is near and dear to my heart. I always got my mom a craft gift here for Christmas. They have so many old-time craft gifts and other collectibles that are perfect for holiday decorating. They're located on Niagara Falls Blvd. and Schultz Road in North Tonawanda.

5) Dave's Christmas Wonderland (Cheektowaga)

Dave's has a couple locations now in Western New York but the orginal one I go to is located on Union Road by the William Street intersection in Cheektowaga. They have an entire area for all kinds of ornaments and plenty of lawn decorations for the holidays. Even a market to get some groceries.
