Thirty years after the release of Pink Floyd's 'The Final Cut,' which focused on the early-1980s conflict over the Falkland Islands, Roger Waters is still involved with world politics. These days, he's calling for a South African apartheid-style musical boycott of Israel.

Rumors set the woods alight, and the fire around Pink Floyd has begun. According to the London Evening Standard, the legendary band’s surviving members will reunite to close out the London 2012 Olympics.

Roger Waters left Pink Floyd in 1984 after writing lyrics for some of the Floyd Boys biggest albums, including the Wall. After Waters left the band, Pink Floyd continued   to produce songs with David Gilmour at the helm.  The band experienced tremendous success before and after Waters called himself a member of Pink Floyd.
