East Aurora, NY

Considered one of the last true villages in the United States, East Aurora, NY was founded in 1804. Over 6,000 people live in the village, which is located southeast of Buffalo. It is one of the safest places to live in the United States.

President Millard Millmore lived in East Aurora with his wife, Abigail prior to becoming President of the United States. The home he lived in is maintained by the Aurora Historical Society.

The Roycroft movement was founded in East Aurora in 1895 by Elbert Hubbard. It was an arts and crafts movement that had a major influence on American Architecture of the 20th Century.

Fisher-Price was founded in East Aurora and remains the home of their corporate headquarters. It is also the corporate headquarters of Moog, IOnc.

The original owner of the Buffalo Sabres, Seymour H. Knox III called East Aurora his home, which is now a 633-acre New York State Park called Knox Farm.
