We all knew that this past Summer was a hot one. We had several daily high-temperature records set, went thru two heatwaves, and now it is official, the Summer of 2020 tied for the 2nd hottest on record.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo broke down the numbers and it turns out that the overall daily average temperature of 72.7 degrees tied for the 2nd hottest average daily temperatures recorded in Western New York.

The averages were taken from June 1st until August 31st.

Only 2005 had a higher average daily temperature with an average of 73.2.
