The fall weather has been pretty decent thus far and if you want a lush lawn next year, plant this week!

Heavy rain will impact the Buffalo area for a couple days this week. After that, temperatures in the 60's and 70's will come our way! This is the perfect time for you to plant grass seed!

According to Pennington.com:

Cool-season grass seed germinates best when soil temperatures are between 50°F and 65°F. This roughly corresponds to daytime air temperatures in the 60°F to 75°F range.

Even at our house, I am planning on throwing down some seed after the rain this week. The real cold and frost will be here eventually. But if you act this week, you can get the seed down and let mother nature take over to get your new grass growing!
