If you smoke and are under the age of 21, you soon will find it hard to get your cigarettes in New York State.

A new law may soon go in to effect in New York that will make it illegal to sell tobacco to those under 21.

According to Metro Source News:

The State Assembly has passed a bill that would raise the age for people to make tobacco and e-cigarette purchases.  The legislation calls for the minimum age to increase from 18 to 21.

The bill now goes to the Senate.  If it passes there, the governor says he'll sign it.

I know that quitting can be very difficult. I am a former smoker. I started to run and do more exercise and even though I still crave a smoke every now and again, I realize the benefits of living tobacco free. My advice would be to take it one day at a time and know that nobody is perfect when it comes to changing any habit.
