One of the most disappointing aspects of my childhood was I was born just barely too late to go to the old Memorial Auditorium. The Buffalo Sabres played there from 1970 to 1996, before moving into the building nearby, now called The Key Bank Center.

Thursday night's home game against the Nashville Predators will be "80's Night." Not only will the 80's Sabres be celebrated, including 80's alumni being introduced before the game, but the Memorial Auditorium will also be highlighted as well.

Here are some pictures of what fans can expect when they go to the game tomorrow. Color-corresponding t-shirts are covering the seats, which mimic what the seat colors looked like at the old Aud....with those signature orange seats in the 300's.

Here's the list of former Sabres that will be honored before the game.

There will also be 80's music and special 80's graphics, throughout the game on the jumbotron.

This looks like one awesome night to go down there!
