Victor Olofsson was red hot in the month of October and the amazing part? It was his first full month as an NHL player.

According to WKBW, the NHL has named Olofsson NHL's "Rookie of the Month" for October.

Olofsson scored six goals and tallied 10 total points in just 13 games in October.

If you remember, Olofsson made NHL history as he scored his first eight goals of his career on the power play (two from last season), making him the first NHL player ever to accomplish that feat.

Anyone who has watched the Sabres this year knows how electric Olofsson has been. He's been one of Buffalo's biggest reasons for the fast start and hopefully, this is only the beginning for a bright career.
