You read that headline correctly. There is a problem with the amount of crows in downtown Rochester.

According to Metro Source News:

Officials say thousands of the birds have been roosting and are making a mess, so they need to go.  Crews will use things like lasers and pyrotechnics to get the crows to disperse.  Work starts at five this evening at Washington Square Park and is expected to last a few hours.

We have a similar problem here in Lafayette Square in Buffalo. Many times I will have to look out the window to see what the fuss is about and it's hundreds of crows just cawing and swooping at each other.

RochesterFirst.com reports as many as 30,000 crows have to be "relocated."
