Many Fans Might Not Have a Chance To Go To Bills Games This Season?

Believe it or not, we're only 12 weeks away from the start of the Buffalo Bills season and the opening Sunday of the NFL season.

But the question everyone wants to know is what will the Bills season look like at New Era Field?

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major social distancing restrictions at public places, which has also canceled or postponed nearly every mass gathering since the middle of March.

Needless to say, a Bills game with 73,000 people would be in jeopardy.

According to Buffalo Rumblings, via The Buffalo News, the Bills are currently working on multiple contingencies for fans to attend games in the fall.

Some of the protocols being weighed by teams have fan capacity at 15 percent, 30 percent and 50 percent -- as well as 100 percent. There's still no decision on what capacity limit the Bills or NFL would have, especially since New York State and Erie County would have a big say in what is decided.

It's safe to assume people/groups would be spaced apart if fans are allowed to attend games.

A huge question though are season ticket holders?

According to Buffalo Rumblings, the Bills had 58,000 season ticket holders in 2016. The stadium seats 73,000...that would be 80 percent capacity, and it's hard to imagine that capacity happening by September...

Would the Bills have to say "no" to many of their season ticket holders? Would individual tickets not happen at all this year? Those might be cold hard truths based off the sheer numbers.

If that happens, the Bills said season ticket holders would get a full refund if they bought the tickets from the team or an NFL-approved site.

I can't imagine no fans or partly-filled stadiums for the Bills and NFL. Unfortunately, it looks like that is what will be happening one way or another.
