Jacktivities For Pumpkin Lovers!

Perfect weather for Fall!  Get out and enjoy it with some of these Jacktivities!

First activity to try this weekend is apple picking!  Grab the entire family and head out to gather some tasty apples while we have some great weather!  Becker Farms in Lockport is one of my favorite places for apple picking.  They have a wide variety of apples for you to pick from along with a variety of other fruits and vegetables on the farm to choose from depending on the season.  The other reason I love going to Becker Farms during the fall season (and not just because they have a vineyard there and their own brewing company either!) they have the Pumpkin Fiesta happening right now till the end of October.  The Pumpkin Fiesta is fun for the entire family!  They have activities like the Pig Rock Derby, Hay Rides, the Castle Labyrinth, the duck races, and even guinea pig bingo!  Along with that they have a Becker Mountain where you get to climb to the top and they test your skills out on their super sling shot or venture thru both of their Mazes they have set up.  Becker Farms is located on Quaker Road in Gasport.

Another great activity for everyone in the family is Pumpkinville.  This event is jammed packed with activities for the family and it’s free to get in to!  Along with the hayrides and the singing chicken show that they had set up last year, they have added a bunch for activities this year like the Pumpkin Jumpin Pillows and a Corn Maize.  If you haven’t gotten a pumpkin yet this is definitely the place to do it.  They have a zillions pumpkins everywhere – obviously that would be why they are named pumpkinville!  You will find the perfect one for the perfect Jack-O-Lantern this year!  While you are there make sure you take a shot at the corn cannon.  Pumpkinville is located on Sugartown Road in Great Valley.

Also this weekend head out to Letchworth State Park in Castile for their annual Arts and Crafts Show!  I must say this is one of my favorite arts and crafts shows that I attend every year.  My family goes up to the camping and I get to spend the weekend wandering through booths after booths of homemade arts and crafts!  This show is huge featuring over 300 artist and crafters, live entertainment, and some amazing food!   You can even get all of your Christmas shopping down now!   Even better they have free shuttle buses that even offer curbside pickup for your heavy purchases!  It’s Food, Fun and Fall Foliage at the Grand Canyon of the East!  I’ll look for you out at this one!  The Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show runs today till Monday.
