This year's Erie County Fair will honor a veteran or active service member each day during the 12-day run of the Fair.  Beginning on August 8th at 6:30 pm a flag retreat ceremony will be held at Slade Park.

The ceremony will include fairgoers in a Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.  And as the flag is lowered a bugler will sound retreat, the flag will be folded by an honorary color guard from a local VFW, Amvets or Legion post.  Then the flag which had flown over the fair that day will be presented to that day's veteran or active service member of the day.

You can help nominate a veteran or active service member to be honored each day at the Fair.  Just stop in at any Made in America location or at the main office of the Fair and complete a nomination form.  In addition to receiving a full-size American flag, all honorees will receive four admission passes the fair, a parking pass, a Midway card for the Strates Shows and $20.00 in meal tickets.

The deadline for submitting entries is July 20th
