During a pandemic, why shouldn't we be able to enjoy our favorite Halloween candy early?

According to reports, Halloween is coming early this year as candy companies roll out their candy displays earlier than normal. Hershey's Global Chief of Sales says they hope setting up displays earlier, might lead to increased sales. Due to COVID-19, the company isn't using as many Halloween-themed wrappings, because they're not sure how popular trick-or-treating will be and many families might just have small gatherings.

We have three boys and have been wondering what things will be like this October. We won't be going door to door. But we plan on having them dress up and going to our family or friends house for a small gathering and lots of candy!
