New York State released guidelines for reopening for hair salons and barbershops on Friday, according to WGRZ.

In Phase 2, hair salons and barbershops will only be allowed to conduct these services:

  • Cut
  • Color
  • Style

Here are the services (non-essential) that will not be available during Phase 2:

  • Beard Trimming
  • Nose Hair Trimming
  • Nail Services
  • Make-Up Application
  • Facials
  • Tweezing
  • Waxing

Also, all employees must be tested for COVID-19 every 14 days during Phase 2. Also, Governor Andrew Cuomo said at his daily press conference on Friday that all visits to hair salons and barbershops will be by "appointment-only."

It's still uncertain the exact date of Phase 2 reopening across Western New York, but hopefully, that's reached at some point next week.
