Halloween is next week! Can you believe it? This year, if you are tired of the same old events for Halloween, then you’ll want to check out these fantastic Halloween Jacktivities!

It will be a scary good time! (Yes, I know totally chees,y but I wait all year to say things like that!)

  • 1st Annual Buffalo Boo Bash ‘n Dash 5K

    Niagara Square, Downtown Buffalo

    Halloween Night, Registration 6 p.m.; Race 7:30 p.m.

This year is the 1st Annual Buffalo Boo Bash ‘n Dash 5K, and it’s on Halloween! After reading all about it, I have to admit, it sounds like a very cool event. I’m not one for running, but they let you run in costumes if you want, and seriously, you can’t beat that!

The race is being held right in Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo. The event registration kicks off at 6 p.m., and you’ll want to be there early because at 7 p.m., there will be a costume contest with local celebrity judges! Once they have checked out all of your fantastic costumes, the race will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Racers, you will also get a T-shirt for participating and one free beer if you’re 21 and over. By the way, the race is open to all ages!

After the race, make sure you stick around because that’s when the real fun begins! Obviously it’s a dash, and then bash, so they are putting on a killer Halloween party! I’m even told the party goes on 'til the last one leaves. They will also be handing out awards during the party, so you’re not going to want to miss that! Anyone is welcome to join the party as well, so bring all along all of your friends in some fantastic costumes to watch you dash and then join you for the bash!

  • Halloween Happenings

    Aquarium of Niagara

    TODAY, 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

Another great event for the kids is happening over at the Aquarium of Niagara today. It’s the Halloween Happenings! Dress up the kiddies in their favorite Halloween costume, and join in with the sea lions and other underwater creatures for their Halloween party.  Even better about this event is that kids that are dressed in their favorite sea creature costume will receive FREE admission! (Everyone else is just $5!)

  • Candlelight Tour of the Buffalo Central Terminal

    Buffalo Central Terminal

    Now through Nov. 2

Finally, an event I found particularly fun to get you into the Halloween spirit is happening over at the Buffalo Central Terminal. It’s their Candlelight Tours!. I’ve heard so many creepy stories about strange noises and dark shadows at the Central Terminal. I’ve never been inside, but the outside alone looks like it could be haunted by all those passangers that have passed through the Terminal.

Join Beyond Ghost for a candlelight tour that last about one hour. Tickets are limited to 25 participants per tour, which is good because the more people, the more noises and the more chance you’ll miss seeing a ghost!
