This is great news for homeowners in the Western New York area. It's not often that heating costs don't go up!

With the fall chill in the air and only a few weeks before the cold and snow set ion, National Grid has announced that it may be cheaper to heat your home!

The utility company is projecting the average electric bill for New Yorkers will be about 422 dollars. That's a drop of about seven percent from last year.   Natural gas bills could be an average of 507 bucks, a nearly six percent drop.

So have you turned on your heat yet? Because we have a newborn in the house, we try to keep our heat at 71 degrees. That temperature does fluctuate based on who is home during the day. I prefer it a tad cooler in the house. Especially at night.
