The Bills still have a lease to play at New Era Field for a few more years now.  But what comes after that?According to WKBW, the Pegulas could be in the very early stages of building a new facility for the team.

The speculation comes after a quick statement from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at the NFL owner's meetings in Orlando.  When asked if there were any updates on the future of New Era Field, Goodell alluded to them making preparations.

"I think those [updates] are better coming from the Pegulas whenever they want to share that with the community," the NFL commissioner said. "I think they’re in the very early stages."

Meanwhile, Terry Pegula is very tight lipped about the entire thing.  Last year he completely avoided questions about the process and this year added that it wouldn't be any different.

"I'm going to give you the same poker answer," Pegula said, according to BuffaloBills.com. "We talk about that heavily internally, but not publicly."

The current lease at New Era Field runs through 2023.
