A Western New York Tribute Band is featuring the music of the Goo Goo Dolls all for a great cause: Music is Art.

What is Music Is Art?

Anyone from Western New York is familiar with Music is Art and the incredible festival they have every year. What do they do, though?

Music is Art is a charity that creates opportunities through the unifying power of music in Western New York. It's a not-for-profit, federal 501c3 organization founded in 2003 by Goo Goo Dolls bassist and Buffalo resident, Robby Takac. It gives people, especially children, in WNY access to music through instrument programs and talent showcases.

Music is an extremely important skill for young people that they can carry through their entire lives while helping them in several other areas of learning.

Who is Unplugged Tribute Band?

Unplugged Tribute Band is a local band that does only a handful of specialty tribute shows every year. For example, they did a tribute to Nirvana's unplugged MTV session earlier in 2023 at Town Ballroom. They do more than just play the music: they tell a story with lighting, video, and more.
