Former Bills QB Tyrod Taylor Has Lung Accidentally Punctured By Chargers Team Doctor

It was a big surprise this past Sunday, as the Los Angeles Chargers deactivated former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor just before their game on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs with an apparent chest injury.

Now we know what happened.

According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, a team doctor accidentally punctured the lung of Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor before Sunday's game, when he was attempting to give him a pain-killing injection for his cracked ribs.

Doctors have advised Taylor not to play indefinitely because of his punctured lung. The Chargers were hoping Tyrod could play this upcoming Sunday.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert started the game against the Chiefs and nearly won them the game against the defending Super Bowl champions. Herbert was the Chargers first-round draft pick in 2020.

Tyrod Taylor played in Buffalo from 2015-2017 and started all three years he was playing for the Bills. He's known as the quarterback that ended the drought for the Bills in 2017 when they made the wild card round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
