People have been reporting that there are still limits on the amount of milk you can buy at the grocery store. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says there's no reason for limits.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension made the initial observation that there is plenty of milk in Western New York.  As a matter of fact, they added that over 50% of the agricultural industry in Erie County comes from dairy.

During his COVID-19 update this afternoon, according to WIVB, the county executive was encouraging people to go out and buy that milk and those dairy products.

There is no law stopping grocery stores from limiting purchases, however, the executive says there is no reason for it.

“Farmers have plenty of milk. Please support our local farmers and buy that milk,” Poloncarz said.
