Round one of the winter storm was Thursday and it was definitely messy. Overnight snow, followed by sleet and freezing rain made for tough driving conditions.

Round two is tonight and it looks like the worst is yet to come.

According to WGRZ Weather, the Winter Weather Advisory has been extended until 6 pm Friday for Northern Erie County and goes until 6 am for Southern Erie.

5-10 inches of snow is expected from overnight tonight through Friday for Erie County.

Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties also have Winter Weather advisories until 6 am on Saturday and likewise, 5-10 inches of snow expected to accumulate.

Orleans County will be the hardest hit however, with 7-14 inches of snow expected. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6 am on Saturday.

An inch of snow per hour is possible between 5 am and 10 am on Friday morning and will for sure be the toughest part of the day in terms of traveling.

Be safe when commuting on Friday as driving conditions are not expected to be the greatest.
