Delta Putting An End To Support Animals On Long Flights

Delta is making some changes to their rules involving "support animals" on longer flights and it's strict. According to the AP, you will not be able to travel with your support animal on any flight longer than 8 hours. Plus, if your support animal or trained service animal is under four months, they will not be allowed on ANY Delta flight.

Why?

Delta is saying that the number of support animals on flights have "skyrocketed" and animals are biting other animals and relieving themselves in the air, sometimes on people. It turns out if you fill out paperwork claiming your animal is a support animal you avoid paying pat-carriage fees. So pretty much, people are ruining it for the people that really need support animals to travel.

These new rules start on December 18th but they will allow those who have already applied and purchase tickets or flights before February 1st.
