Cruise Voyages Are Coming To The Great Lakes

Yep, you read that right. Cruises on the Great Lakes.

Viking Cruises will launch Great Lakes Voyages starting in 2022. The ports will include Ontario, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Viking Cruises wants to give people voyages, not just in oceans, but lakes and rivers as well.

"Our guests are curious explorers. They want to continue traveling with us to familiar and iconic destinations, but they would also like to travel further," said Viking Cruises chairman Torstein Hagen.

There will be three Great Lakes cruise voyages you can choose from. All of them are eight-day cruises.

Undiscovered Great Lakes: 

This will take you from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The inaugural cost is just under $6,700 per person with sailing dates between May and September.

Great Lakes Explorer:

Milwaukee to Thunder Bay. Inaugural cost is just under $6,500 per person between May and September.

Niagara & the Great Lakes:

Toronto to Milwaukee. Inaugural cost is just under $6,000 per person. Sailing dates are from April to September.
