Between now and the end of April, you can donate a book, at our studios between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We're located on the 12th floor of the Rand Building, at 14 Lafayette Square. The Books for Kids campaign's goal is to collect books, so all WNY area children can enjoy the gift of reading. This year the book drive runs through April 30, 2019.

“Wonderful things happen when children are given a book of their own. Reading a book or being read to truly engages the mind and inspires creativity, discovery and resourcefulness,” said Library Director Mary Jean Jakubowski.

We would love to have you come by the station, but if you can't make it downtown, you can also donate books at the following locations:

  • All Wegmans in Erie & Niagara counties
  • All Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries
  • The Buffalo News, corner of Washington and Scott streets, downtown Buffalo
  • All Dipson Theaters
  • All WNY Mattress Firm locations
  • All Raymour & Flanigan locations
  • Tom’s Restaurant, 3221 Sheridan Drive, Amherst

Donations to purchase books for children with special needs are also welcome and will be used to buy Braille, large-print and other specialized books.
