There is a makeover coming to at least one city in Niagara County.

If you live in Lockport or have driven through recently, then you know that a few improvements would definitely be welcome.

According to Metro Source news:

Lockport will receive 10 million dollars for redevelopment.   Officials say there are dozens of projects that the money will be used for.  They include reusing and fixing up abandoned buildings.

The cash is being made available as part of New York State's Downtown Revitalization Initiative.

LockportJournal.com listed a few of the places that may receive some of the money.

The application lists improvements to Widewaters marina, the Mill Race property, the F&M and Bewley buildings, Harrison Place, the Tuscarora Club and the former YMCA building, and various areas for streetscape improvements.
