Cheektowaga Phone Scam Warning

Officers took a report today of an unknown male providing the the victim with his correct Social Security number and stated it was stolen and used. The unknown male then asked for the victim's credit card and bank information. The male continued to tell the victim that he was transferring his call to the Cheektowaga Police due to the victim having an active warrant out for his arrest. We have seen these scams before but now the suspects have the victim's social security numbers and are using specific police departments in the area, provide the victim's with the correct police departments number.
