Casey Kasem Dead At 82

Casey Kasem has passed at the age of 82.

If you grew up like I did, Casey was more than a D.J, he was a God.

Every Sunday night I would sit and not only listen to American Top 40, but write down all the songs as Casey counted them down.

From there, I would put them on a spread sheet and map out a rotation of sorts that I would use on the 'Radio Station' in my Bedroom.

This early lesson from Casey and his countdown would prove to be used throughout my career in one way or another, almost like a weekly focus group to determine what songs I should play and how often.

Much is being said about the tragic last days of my icon Casey Kasem, with his Family drama.

I would rather remember him for what he was to me, my best friend every Sunday night.
