Per WIVB, a curfew will be in effect in the city of Buffalo from 8PM - 5AM every night through Sunday.

Additionally, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced on Twitter this morning that a curfew would be implemented for Cheektowaga, Amherst, Tonawanda, West Seneca and Lackawanna starting at 8PM tonight (6/2) and continuing through 5AM tomorrow. It is not clear if those curfews will be extended any further.

UPDATE: Erie County Executive has updated the curfew--it is now county-wide from 8PM-5AM tomorrow.

Poloncarz added that essential workers would still be permitted to travel during curfew hours but they would need to have proof of employment on them at all times.

The curfew comes after another night of protesting in the community which saw agitators turn violent, resulting in two police officers (one Buffalo Police Department officer and one NYS Trooper) being struck by a vehicle on Bailey Avenue.
