The Buffalo News is reporting Steve Barnes was piloting the plane that crashed today in Genesee County. The newspaper reports the other passenger killed is a female relative.

WIVB is reporting a small plane crashed in Genesee County earlier today.

There is no information on who was inside the plane but according to the FAA, it is registered to "an address that matches Cellino and Barnes’ Main Street office," says WIVB.

The crash happened in a wooded area near 9115 Boyce Rd. in Pembroke. The plane, a Socata TBM 700 was located by a Genesee County Sheriff’s deputy.

WBTA reports the plane had left Buffalo and was en route to Manchester, New Hampshire before the crash occurred.

WIVB reports New York State police, the Sheriff’s Office and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating this matter.
