Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is out of emergency surgery following a shooting in the Dominican Republic.  He was shot in the back yesterday at a bar, and rushed to the hospital.  A suspect was detained at the scene.  Ortiz is reportedly in stable condition.
