Even though the weather may be cold, herds of people stay outside waiting in lines for the hottest shopping day of the year to get the best deals and kickstart their holiday shopping.

Black Friday 2012 begins sharply at midnight on November 23. Here is some information about business hours on Black Friday at local malls and department stores:

Walden Galleria Mall: Will be open at midnight on Black Friday and closing at 11 p.m.

McKinley Mall: Will be open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will not close until 10 p.m. the following day.

Boulevard Mall: Select stores open at midnight on Black Friday. The rest of the mall is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Eastern Hills Mall: Will be open at midnight on Black Friday and closing at 9 p.m.

Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls: Will be open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will not close until 9 p.m. the following day.

Kohl's: Business hours will not be ready until right before Black Friday. However, you can check out the Kohl's website on Sunday, November 18, to find out what Black Friday deals there will be.

Target: Business hours will be ready within the next couple weeks or so. In the meantime, you can become an email member on the Target website and be the first to know of the deals all year long.

Walmart: All of the Walmart superstores are open 24 hours a day. At these superstores, the majority of the Black Friday deals will start at midnight, while the electronics deals will start at 5 a.m. The Walmart location at 100 Thruway Plaza Dr. is not a superstore, but it will be open all 24 hours on Thanksgiving and will not close until 11 p.m. on the following day. You can sign up for savings on the Walmart website before Black Friday.

As the information for business hours becomes available, we will update this post accordingly.
