As we approach sunrise on Saturday, a warm front is expected to cross our area that may bring a rare early morning window for strong to potentially severe thunderstorms.  Those storms could be around until early afternoon when a cold front slides through.  After that, there may still be a few rain showers, though the storm threat will have passed.

Saturday will be windy with sustained winds near 20 mph and gusts to around 40 mph possible that along with the soaking rainfall amounts will make it a nice day for indoor plans.

Of the two weekend days, Sunday will by far be the pick of the two under mostly sunny skies with highs around 80.  Warmth, humidity, and sunshine will dominate much of the coming week.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Pleasantly warm and dry. HIGH: 75 to 79

SATURDAY: Cloudy with showers and a few thundery downpours likely especially during the first part of the day. Breezy. Rainfall tallies of a quarter to a half of an inch are possible. HIGH: 77

SUNDAY: Intervals of clouds and sunshine. Small chance of a shower in the higher terrain in the afternoon.  HIGH: 80
