Attention World, We Live In Western New York, Not Upstate

A lot of people are upset that the Simpson's made fun of Buffalo last night. I was talking with my friend that I went to SUNY Brockport who lives in New York City and he asked me how I felt about the slight to Upstate New York! I was a bit confused by the question!

Growing up in West Seneca, I always considered and was proud that Buffalo and the surrounding area was Western New York! Upstate New York to me is considered the area near Albany.  Central New York was Rochester and Syracuse, and Buffalo was Western New York. Check out a picture I found on Twitter!
