During the past 6 months Western New Yorks have been limited in their range of recreational options, but today a couple of favorite spots are again open and available.

Both spots afford locals with options to beat the changing Fall weather.

The Aquatic Center in the Town of Tonawanda is reopening Thursday, October 1st according to our friends at News 4 (WIVB-TV).

We're told that the Center at 1 Pool Plaza at Delaware Road and Sheridan Drive will be open to the public until Oct. 4 at no charge.

Oct. 5 is reportedly when new membership rates will go into effect.

The pool will open at 8 a.m. with a special senior swim until 11:30 a.m.

Masks are required when entering the building but obviously are not required while in the pool.

In a separate story News 4 (WIVB-TV) tells us that the always popular Paddock Golf Dome is scheduled to reopen for the season at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 1st!

The golf dome has been closed since March of this year due to COVID-19.

Following COVID-19 guidelines, the facility will open to limited capacity.  The indoor driving range and miniature golf, are on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to protocol masks are required when entering the facility, but will not be a requirement in the driving range stall.
