A ruling from the Supreme Court will allow Apple users to file a lawsuit against the company over the prices of Apps.

The Court ruled that users will have the right to sue for alleged "higher than competitive prices" for Apps sold thru the Apple App Store.

While the court's opinion does not resolve the lawsuit, it just clears a pathway for users to file a suit against the company.

A lawsuit was filed by Apple users claiming that the company is violating federal antitrust laws by only allowing users of iPhone and iPod to only buy apps from the Apple store.

A 2013lawsuit was dismissed in California district court before being brought to the Supreme Court.

The U.S Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against Apple.
