On Tuesday (March 26), the Buffalo Common Council held a listening session about banning styrofoam, according to WIVB. However, Common Council President Darius Pridgen tabled the issue for 30 days. During this time residents can write letters in support of the ban or against it. The ban, if it went into effect, would be similar to what went into effect in New York City. It would ban manufacturers and stores from producing or selling any type of single-use plates, containers or plates.
