The fire occurred this morning (January 3) at a home in the 400 block of Leroy Avenue, according to WRGZ. A 13-year-old girl was injured in the fire and is in critical condition. Four other family members were in the home at the time of the fire, according to investigators, but were able to escape uninjured. The cause of the fire, which caused at least $150,00 in damage, is under investigation.

According to WIVB, the teen was stuck in a back bedroom in the 2-story home. A cat was also rescued from the home by Ladder 7 crews.

"They went in and did their job and they take pride in the fact that they're able to do what they do and save somebody so the city should be very thankful they're working tonight. "
